White Plume Productions Presents: Naga-Mandala

Experience Girish Karnad's mythic masterpiece — cobra, fire, and forbidden desire — live and immersive. One of India's most revered playwrights, Karnad wove the ancient oral traditions of South India into theatre that moved stages from Mumbai to London. Naga-Mandala — literally "Play with a Cobra" — is his most mythically rich and emotionally resonant work. And now, a fully immersive production is coming to Tampa.

A young woman trapped in a loveless marriage. A king cobra driven by devotion. Flames that gossip like neighbors. Ancient magic colliding with the raw, timeless ache of desire and survival. Directed by Salil Singh, this production brings together local and national artists for one extraordinary night.

This is living Indian storytelling, brought to life through live music, dance, and theatre woven into one breathtaking night.

Approximate run time: two hours.
